This year's event is Sunday, April 9 at the Chattanooga Convention Center.
Held annually, the Chocolate Fling Benefit raises money for the Epilepsy Foundation of Southeast Tennessee, a non-profit 501(c)(3), to positively impact people’s lives at no cost to them. On Sunday April 9, 2017, be one of the chocolate-lovers and cause-supporters gathered for a fun time at The Chattanooga Convention Center.
Arrive at 1:00 to browse the auction items and community vendors arts and crafts, and of COURSE chocolates. Beginning at 1:15, we will have a short welcome, then at 1:30 the silent auction begins! Listen closely for auction table closings which will start at 2:00! Be sure to sample each chocolatier's tasty goodies, and stop by our savory vendor tables. Once the silent auction has closed, as close to the stage as you can, to participate in the LIVE auction! To Go boxes will be available for sale at 3:35, but don't leave..... We will call the winning bidder numbers at 3:50. Last year's auction featured over 400 items generously donated from throughout the southeast. The live auction items ranged from a vintage fighter plane ride to original art, was a hit enjoyed by all.
Our goal is to educate the community, reduce stigmas, and support anyone affected by seizures through advocacy, case management, education to individuals and groups like school staff and first responders, prescription assistance for seizure medication, support group and travel expense fund (via EFA).
We offer free resources to the 1 in 100 living with epilepsy in Bledsoe, Bradley, Grundy, Hamilton, Marion, McMinn, Meigs, Polk, Rhea, & Sequatchie counties in Tennessee, and Catoosa, Dade and Walker counties in Georgia.
The Chocolate Fling benefit is our largest annual fundraiser. There are a variety of unique and fun filled sources of entertainment with this event and we hope to make this better and better throughout the years. We have had wonderful support from local Chocolatiers, without them this would never be possible. Thank you!
